Strom Thurmond Statue at the South Carolina Statehouse 5 Shot HDR
I took a little trip to Columbia to shoot the USC Campus and the SC Statehouse…well, because I was bored. Also, the leaves were nice and I thought it may make for some good shooting. What I didn’t count on, was a thick blanket of fog keeping the blue skys away. I wasn’t sure how they would come out, but I was pretty shocked, they add a strange, gloomy vibe to the shots. See for yourself.
Also, check out my other website www.Carolinaslivemusic.com for photos of the local music scene. New photos coming soon of Lucero and Social Distortion!
Here is a shot of the Strom Thurmond Statue at the Statehouse. I didn’t see one Confederate flag on the grounds, so I’d appreciate the NCAA going easy on our state from here on out. Ok, rant over…I like the fog in this shot. It really evelops the Statehouse, and gives it a nice feel. Although the Statehouse roof is beautiful and would have looked great behind some nice clouds and blue sky I think the weather only adds silence and mystery to the shot.
Not far from the Thurmond statue, you’ll find gorgeous palmetto trees all over the grounds. Here is another foggy look at the SC Statehouse, Palmettos standing guard.
Wow, superb work.
Thanks! Stop by often…
